First Floor:
After climbing a newel stair, you reach the first floor.
Here you pass by a figurehead that has got its own history.
The first floor offers a lot of information about the
pre- and early history of the Ueckermünde region and about the history of the town itself.
One showcase is dedicated to the town chronicler August Bartelt.
In the middle of the room, there is a replica of an old
Slavonic boat that was constructed according to drafts from the Ukranenland Torgelow
open-air museum.
In a second room you may then have a look at a lot of
interesting items, paintings and photographs dating back to former times. Particularly
impressive is a replica of the costume of Duke Philipp I, a knight's armour, plenty of
cutting and stabbing weapons and firearms, implements of the craftsmen's guilds, articles
of practical and everyday use, a shoemaker's corner and a lot more. |
